Tilting at the Higgs

Wired has a very readable article on an attempt by Kyle Cranmer and his graduate students to find the Higgs Boson in 2009 using LEP data. It looked like a cool little project for those graduate students. Though a Nobel still seems like it would be iffy as the credit would probably need to be diffused amongst the hundred of physicists who built the detectors and did the data taking.
